2026 Memory Studies Association Conference
At this year’s annual Memory Studies Association Conference, I co-presented the paper “Can you put your arm around me too? Positive affect, resistance, and the remembrance of profound love during World War II” with memory studies scholar Arnoud Arps. This interdisciplinary paper argues that narratives of resistance that show profound love can provide fertile ground for eliciting positive affect in the present.

2026 Jungian Society for Scholarly Studies Conference
At the JSSS Conference I presented my paper “To see through its disguise: the enchanted other in contemporary fairy-tales and the way to profound love within”. It approaches Rewilding the Psyche through a post-Jungian framework grounded in Susan Rowland’s description of the psychic process as a visual narrative like “an ocean of flowing images” (2005, p. 3). My paper uses Rowland’s method of Jungian Arts Based Research (Rowland & Weishaus, 2021) to lay bare the individuation process that occurs through a ‘rewilding of the inner narrative’.
