About me
Hello treasure!
I am Jilly Vlekke, a Dutch psychologist and independent researcher. I was trained at the University of Amsterdam and came into contact with positive psychology at the University of California, Berkeley.
I am the founder of the Treasure Search Practice, which helps people make a positive change in their lives. I welcome you warmly to experience my guidance combined with your wisdom and strength to a session. Thank you for finding me and I hope during the sessions I can reciprocate the favor!
When you need help while struggling with celiac disease or any other gut related issue, I am keen on meeting you as well! I am also owner of Gluten-Free Crumble and The Celiac Cause, both of which raise awareness about celiac disease and introduce people to the gluten-free possibilities that are out there.
I am a registered psychologist at the Dutch Association for Psychologists (NIP®). My registration number is: 249635.
I am keen on learning continuously, while also guiding others.
My Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees were obtained from the University of Amsterdam, with specialisations in Clinical Developmental Psychology and Industrial and Organisational Psychology. Afterwards, I further specialised at UC Berkeley by following the Human Happiness course taught by Professor Dacher Keltner and Dr. Emiliana Simon-Thomas.
Besides my practice, I am an independent researcher. My research interests are analytical and positive psychology, memory, and love. I worked on successful grant applications for the Dutch Research Council, Niels Stensen Fellowship, the Culture Fund, and the Jade Fund.
In 2025, I obtained a Jungian Arts Based Research (JABR) Certificate and attended the ‘Goddess-Makers in an Age of Autocrats’ research conference at the Pacifica Graduate Institute, Santa Barbara.
This year, I will be presenting at the Memory Studies Association Conference in Buenos Aires, Argentina together with memory and culture scholar Arnoud Arps and the Jungian Society for Scholarly Studies Conference in Portland, United States.
